Yesterday I read this quote “Stress, worry, and anxiety simply come from projecting your thoughts into the future and imagining something bad. This is focusing on what you don't want! If you find that your mind is projecting into the future in a negative way, focus intensely on NOW. Keep bringing yourself back to the present.”

This sounds so simple and easy but it’s not. I know that when my mind goes to those “dark” places I have to really stop all I am doing and really work on getting back to the present. I have to repeat positive affirmations over and over again until I feel myself returning to the present.

The truth is I wish I had a magic bullet to stop my mind from spewing negativity. I know that my affirmations work but my desire is for them to work immediately. I often spend time wondering why I go those “dark” places but I have never found out why. I just know that I have to stop and focus on the positive until the stress I feel is gone.

I know that I am not alone and so for all of us who deal with our negative thoughts let’s repeat over and over again “I am whole, complete and perfect” because that is truly what we are no matter what we may be thinking at the time.
