Over the many months that I have been blogging a number of women have approached me to tell me their stories. I want to thank all of the courageous women who have opened up to me and felt safe to tell me their stories – I am truly honored. I have learned from all of you and you have given me strength.

I began writing as a way to help myself move past the pain, guilt, fear and shame I was feeling. Yes, it is hard to relive the abuse - but it has helped, I have found the process liberating and perhaps it can help you too.

If you have experienced domestic violence and want a safe place to express yourself and your stories I have such a place for you on my site Nancy’s Story (www.nancysstory.com). I have launched a new feature called “Tell Us Your Story” (http://www.nancysstory.com/tell-us-your-story.php#/news/ ).

Nancy’s Story (http://www.nancysstory.com/tell-us-your-story.php#/news/ ) is as a safe haven - a place to tell your stories without fear of judgment or recrimination. You can even use a pseudonym to protect your identity. Telling our stories will also help other women as we all learn from one another’s experience.

Women helping women –what a beautiful thing!
