In one my previous blog posts I talked about how I was plagued with dreams (nightmares really).

One dream that I am going to relate was a recurring dream. I was living on my own and my divorce was not finalized. We were battling and it always seemed like the divorce would never get finalized.

I loved to swim in the ocean but I was always afraid of drowning.  I never liked it when the waves were big. In this dream I was in the water swimming and all of a sudden the waves got so big and rough that I was being pulled under the water. If that wasn’t enough there was this gigantic sea creature that looked like a huge snake (I also don’t like snakes).

The waves were bashing me around and the sea creature kept coming after me. The sea creature would get close and I would just barely be able to swim out of its way.  This dream seemed to go on for hours.

The only thing that stopped the dream was when I woke up. For quite some time I slept with the lights on as if that would keep me safe from the water and the monster - but it didn’t.

Once my divorce was finalized that dream stopped.  I had finally rid myself of the monster.
