Why I Tell Nancy's Story...

I share my story because I hope that women who have endured their own struggles find something from my story and realize that they too can create the financially self-sufficient life that they choose and achieve their own “Victory over Violence”.

Title your post. I call mine "Nancy's Story", you can use your first name and make it "(Your Name) Story, or choose any other title you like. But always use the same title every time you post so that the string becomes "your story".

Write your post. Write your post. (HINT: It's best to write you post in the space provided however if you wish to write your stories in a program like MS Word remove all of the formatting from your document before cutting and pasting it into the provided space).

Select "Closed". Once you have posted your story be sure to click "Closed" to block comments before clicking "Post Topic"

This forum is moderated. Off topic, excessively profane, cruel or hateful posts will be deleted at my discretion.

Profanity is acceptable as long as it is contextual and not excessive. If it fits your story, say it. If it is gratuitous - please don't. We want you to be able to write openly and honestly.

Write as often as you like. I find that as I write about one thing it triggers memories of other things that are more deeply suppressed.

I find that the more I write - the more I get out - the more I am able to put the heaviness of my old life behind me. People use the word catharsis. I can tell you that for me, the more I write the "lighter" I feel.

So, write away ladies. I hope you find the experience as liberating as I do.
